MY STORY

Why LA Tutoring?

Hi, I'm Laraeb Adnan.

I’m a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher with a PGCE and a degree in Early Childhood Studies.

With training in behaviour management, I create a calm, supportive environment where every child can thrive.

I specialise in Maths Mastery using the CPA (Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract) approach, and I love helping students develop confidence in numeracy through engaging, hands-on learning. I also encourage deeper thinking through open-ended questions and guided STEM sentence prompts.

Alongside mathematics, I'm just as passionate about developing children’s English language skills.

I’m dedicated to literacy and employ the VIPERS (Vocabulary, Inference, Prediction, Explanation, Retrieval, and Sequence) strategy to help children build key reading and comprehension skills.

My teaching style is creative, calm, and child-centered. I design cross-curricular lessons tailored to each learner, encouraging curiosity, deeper thinking, and progress at every stage.
